The New 2022 Jeep Compass: Power and Performance

Posted at Thu, Dec 16, 2021 11:15 AM

The new 2022 Jeep Compass is changing standards. It has been redesigned, offering new features and changing how other vehicles in its class will have to be designed from now on.

Come along with us on this second part of this three-part series, to experience the power and performance of the 2022 Jeep Compass, and see how the redesign is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

Bring on the power!

The 2022 Jeep Compass brings to the market a power never seen before. It has a 2.4L Tigershark engine featuring a MultiAir 2 valve train system, which offers a fuel economy rating of up to 31 highway mpg and up to 177 horsepower. This gives the Compass the towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds, and allows for higher performance and efficiency.

With legendary 4x4 capability, you can take on nearly any adventure, on or off road. And with the help of the selec-terrain traction management system, you can adjust shift patterns, engine performance, and torque distribution for optimal traction in different driving conditions.

The 2022 Compass has trail rated performance, offering legendary off-road capability. This vehicle carries on the Jeep brand tradition of legendary traction, water fording, maneuverability, articulation and ground clearance.

The redesigned Compass has a high-strength steel body structure, which helps to maximize crash protection while optimizing vehicle dynamics and weights.

Drive with Confidence

The 2022 Jeep Compass may have a lot of power, but it also has a lot of incredible features which helps to optimize performance, and keep you confident while driving.

Rain sensing windshield wipers sense moisture on the windshield and automatically activate the wipers.

A windshield wiper de-icer heats the bottom of the windshield to clear the wipers of slush and ice. This feature is perfect for Minnesota weather.

Heated exterior mirrors help to maintain a clear view when the weather gets colder.

Advanced 4x4 systems help ensure that the right wheels have traction when needed.

LED headlamps and fog lamps better illuminate the path in front of you, no matter the weather conditions.

“With the redesign, Jeep has created new standard safety features, changing the game in the car industry,” says James Randall, the sales manager at Eide Chrysler, Pine City. “The safety changes are a huge improvement from the 2021 model.”

A few of the new safety features include a forward collision warning with active braking system, a blind spot monitoring with rear cross path detection system, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and active lane management. These features were designed to give you peace of mind on any journey, powering your confidence.

We asked James Randall what customers should know about the 2022 Jeep Compass. “Although the Compass is a smaller vehicle, you wouldn’t be able to tell from the inside because of all of the room available. The powerful 4 cylinder engine gives you good gas mileage, and the 4 wheel drive is unlike anything I’ve seen in a vehicle like this before.”
