Employee of the Month: Brent Hammerstrom

This month, we're honoring our recent Employee of the Month, Brent Hammerstrom! Perhaps you've seen him hard at work in the service department, and maybe he's even worked on your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or RAM vehicle. 

Now you have the chance to get to know him even better. 

Upbeat and Positive

No matter where you work, it's always great to have someone who puts in 150%. Here in the service department, that's Brent.

"Brent is a hardworking, dedicated technician. He is always on time, and usually even works late," says Tom Hayes, service manager. "Brent is always the first technician to volunteer to work on Saturdays so we can get caught up with our Used Vehicle Inspections and Repairs, and/or Pre-Delivery Inspections on our new vehicles."

Tom adds that one of the best things about Brent is the vibe he brings to the shop. 

"He's upbeat and positive – definitely an asset to the Eide team. It's awesome to watch him evolve as a technician!"

Get to Know Brent

How long have you been at Eide?

I've been there two years as of May 2019.

What is your role and what's your day-to-day look like?

I'm a service technician, so I inspect and diagnose vehicles. My work is anything from a quick oil change to a full motor or transmission repair. 

What is your favorite thing about your job? 

I like doing more of the engine and transmission replacements. I like those bigger jobs that are more of a challenge and make me think a little more.

What's your dream vehicle?

I've been thinking about this! If they would make a RAM 1500 with a regular cab shortbox with a 6.4 V8 Hellcat engine, I'd drive that. 

How do you spend your free time? 

I go to the gym everyday, and I love riding my Harley Davidson.
